This brings back memories when I first join the forum. I didn't even introduce myself properly.
(well, sort of)I just started asking Questions! A whole list, sometimes almost the whole page.
I'm glad I did because, almost everything I ask for was presented in Bomber's new updates.

I have to say Thanks to "Iceweb38" because he was the only one answering almost every singal question I ask for. Thanks Iceweb38! and B-Team :D

Never seen this "Tunnelway" before... nice one.

You will surely be praised and recognized for this generous effort. Recreating a well received classic and breathing life back into a much loved video game genre. Thank you Bomberlink and team. The Yamato battle is beautifully done and I can't see anyway to improve it. Hopefully progress continues to go well for you.

One funny thing is that Sega just went and re-released the original Streets of Rage on the iPhone/iPad. It pales in comparison to the enormous effort that is SoRR.

Honestly, I reckon this fan-project overtook the source material in terms of quality a couple of years ago, and has raced ahead ever since.

Greetings Mr. B,

First of all, thanks for the update.

I would like to know whither the AI was at 100% when recording this clip. I somehow noticed that the enemy still likes to go off screen as they were in v4. Is this AI seen here specific to this boss or is it shared for all enemies?

I could be wrong here and v4's nightmarish AI is affecting my senses and judgment. But even if I am, I still would like to know if the AI was at 100%.

One more thing, the sword slash attack does not make a hitting sound when it hits. In the original SoR3 it makes a normal hit sound like a punch would. I'm curious if maybe there was actually a hitting sound that did not play something, Or maybe it was intentionally removed?

Kind regards,

Smart Guy

AI is 100% for Yamato. He goes off screen in BKIII also. I understand what you are saying about v4 AI in this instance, especially Electra, but this has been rectified. Each enemy has had their individual AI tweaked extensively to mirror that of the originals. It's as close as you can get without reverse engineering the original code. You won't find AI as good as this in any BOR mod that's for sure.

Good enough to know for sure charco ;) At last!! At last!! A way-forward example for all those BOR-esque fangames. Not complaining about it, I just remark the outstanding work behind all this project, from eye candy stuff to those that lie in the " more than meets the eye " zone ( Never better said xD ) I usually pay more attention at this type of things than at the flashy ones. Again, amazing work ;)

No problem, glad I could answer your question. Expect yet more tweaks to all you see in the updates when the game is released. :)

SoRR, at least from what I've seen so far, reminds me of the very best kind of remake - if anyone else has played Bionic Commando: Rearmed, you'll know what I mean.

Any mook can throw together a 'This is how I think it should be' mod or romhack, but only the best, most patient of fans can slowly pick apart the original game, almost scientifically identify exactly what worked, what could be tuned, and what needs polishing up, then put it back together so it works better than ever.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Totally agree, that's why B and the team had earned my respect and admiration through all this time. Compared to that, every ounce of patience spent in this was worth waiting.

And now it chills me to the bones...:)

Wow. Just... wow.

See. it's stuff like this that makes me not mind at all that these guys are taking their time in making this game. You give a talented crew the time and resources they need, and they'll come up with something great. And it seems guaranteed that this game is going to be great. There's just enough mix of new (love the intro) and old (Yamato seems to be spot on here), to make this the best version of SoR around.

Great stuff guys. This is going to be glorious when we finally get to play it.

Awesome Vid :)
Question: the secret temple gate did not opened after the shinobi's death, unlike in bk3.

Edit: so why?
