Vehelits lolwut?

You know,this has always bugged me ever since I was a kid,and watching the latest video that B posted only made it stand out even more.

What part of Vehelits is supposed to be his face? Because there's at least three ways of looking at it that I can see.
There's the Skull-faced Vehelits:

And then there's the Sad Cow-looking Vehelits:

Vehelits is really...weird. I wish there was more on it because it is pretty interesting. There are definitely at least two faces, but I am not seeing what you mean by the "sad cow" one.

Ah! Yes, okay, it's clear now. I have a hard time seeing it without the outline, but I definitely see what you mean now.

I always found Vehelits to be weird because he is really the only one-time mini-boss that you fight (unless my memory fails me). He seemed special in a way.

There's "Skull Face Vehelits", "Zeus Face Vehelits" and "Sad Cow (looks more like a Bull with the horns) Vehelits". Bomber could split the three faces, so each face has one action (i.e. Subsonic), and when all three are defeated, they turn into the Streets of Rage 2 Vehelits in the Video. This is reminiscent of the Yamato boss battle in Streets of Rage 3.

I... can not see that working well at all. I don't think the faces could ever stand alone like that since they are so small and all just part of one thing.
