Its gonna suck for 2 reasons.

1 - the teaser i saw at youtube was just a 3D cgi fight between Ken & Ryu, so it could end up as a 3D game, which imo isn't Street Fighter,
Street Fighter has always stood for 2D fighting, which was proven time and time again by the worthless 3D SF's they tried to make.

2 - its a 2D game, and because Capcom USA will be doing it we will get another Capcom Fighting Jam, aka UnbalancedUglyCapcomMugen.
(and last time i heard Capcom Japan sold all their SF rights to Capcom USA, which means that the Americans will be making it)

Then again America did give us the awesome SF2 cartoon, Bison : YESSYESSYESSYESSYESSYESS

I knew it would be posted by the time I got here. I'm gonna hold my excitement until I see some gameplay. The style looks cool, but I don't think it can work in the actual game. And I hope to God it's 2D.

Even if Capcom didn't have a long story of plagiarizing themselves over and over, just looking at their two newly announced games would make you wonder: Bionic Commando in 3D and Street Fighter IV, the 834th game in the series.

At least his pretty much blunt and straight to the point about this. While it may seem interesting to see a sequal, the downfall to it is if it'll be 3D like the EX series (which the 3rd title killed it) or will it be another mash up like Capcom Fighting Jam (which also sucked, I'll stick with Capcom vs SNK 2 thanks). Street Fighter titles have just felt real bland as of late.

Im thinking its gonna be 3D. Now that PS3 and 360 have so much power you know there just gonna play with it. And like you said its the Americans making it.

Personally I'm hoping that the HD version of SF2 coming to Live is a test for a new graphic style, but we'll see. Hopefully it's not 3D (which it probably is).

as big as street fighter is, lots of people play hardcore for tournaments. I on the other hand play for fun. If sf4 is as fun as Champion Edition or third strike, then it doesn't matter. thats how sfex 3 was for me, mindless fun, not competitive goodness. thats why we play games to begin with. :wink:

Thats Super Awesome Espilionaruge, Mostly since i don't remember giving a rant about Sonic being in Smash Bros Brawl.

BRING BACK AKUMA!!!!! thats the only thing i can say to capcom. watch them somehow mess the story up even more and have m. bison come back and fight everyone at once just to get killed by zombie charlie and mullet guile. *cough alpha 3 cough* :lol:
