It has even more potential to be a great computer Groovemaster; after all it has a godlike Cell core (8 processors, 6 program-useable ones). If the Linux support increases over time I might buy one when the price drops (to half).

Yes i agree Linux is great for the ps3.
I think a price drop might happen sooner rather than later to maybe around £325 to keep it in line with the 360.

The new generation of console wars has started and i'm loving it.

The 360 is a great console and i think right now it's the best out there however it's louder than a wailing banshee, The Wii well i'm not keen on that but the PS3 looks cool, has Cell, a bloody big HD, Blu-ray and lots of power under the hood. and i can't wait for the second wave of games to arrive, rather than straight ports of 360 games.

I highly doubt PS3 will drop its price soon simply because of that damn Blu-Ray player. They shouldn't force anyone to pay rediculous amounts of money for one when alot of people just want to play. Another problem with it is a lack of games. There are what, two decent exclusives on it?

Yeah two exclusive games is pretty naff and to be honest Resistance to me is only average at best it can't hold a candle to Gears Of War and people should not even compare the two as it's obvious RFOM is nowhere near as good.
I love my FPS games but Resistance is the biggest let down for me since Halo 2's SP campaign.

Motorstorm is a good laugh though but it's just not enough.

One of PS3's biggest problems though for me is the sheer lack of anti-aliasing in games, those jaggies can be really crude, this is one of the 360's greatest strengths thanks to that 10mb of embedded dram which basically gives AA for nothing.

on another note is Tony Hawks Project 8 any good?. i've got the demo and it seems alright just wondered if it's worth splashing some cash on.
