mcafee? solved then xD

The .exe is packed alongside the portraits and it extracts them to a temp folder when you run it, maybe mcafee thinks that that is dangerous behavior :lol:

I couldn't help, but say this(i've been trying to keep my ideas to myself when need be), but if your interested in making another SORmaker utility i've noticed a lot of less than friendly user interface issues in the current version. Examples of this very such having to add scenery(graphical layers) manually instead of having that option in SORmaker, having to add collusion to the mods by mounting files on opne another, etc. SORmaker IS indeed connected to the main file, since it's designed for creating mods one could create his or her own version of SORmaker to be easier to use. Now granted SORmaker isn't extensively hard to use. There's much harder to use tools out there. I just feel that there are aspects of SORmaker that are needlessly complex for one to use.

The only problem with this is that you'd have to find out how the current version works and the encryption isn't going to make it easy, but if done properly you could create a more user friendly version of SORmaker. You might even be able to add things that aren't avialible in the current version(the bulldozer from SOR3).

Sorry if i'm asking for much as out of all the tools that you've made that idea that I have would be the hardest. As always it's up to you. I just feel that the way SORmaker is designed makes it hard to figure out.

I'd say it's probably more to do with the fact that this would have to be done by Bomberlink. Xenovant has made utilities that work with simple folders really.

Sorry guys. I had no idea that he decided to stop his own work, but that's his path. He deserves a pat on the back anyways seeing how much he's done. Yeah. Bomberlink would have been more likely to make such a tool now that you mention it, but since he's retired from the forums i've felt that where all alone and have to make the best of it. Sorry Xenovant if i've offended you.

I see your point quite well. Normally ever since Cajnatalie told me to keep some of the large ideas I come up with myself I found myself doing just that. The only problem is that it takes awhile to fully understand how to use SORmaker(some aspects are easy to understand while others take awhile). In order for me to start coding a new version i'd have to first learn how to use every aspect of SORmaker first.

Hey Guys,

I've been lurking this forum for help the last couple days.

I'm creating my own SoRMaker mod, and I would love to use this cutscenemaker, HOWEVER...

I can't get the cutscenes to work, I have the .txt file, don't know what to do with it, I put it in my games folder and tried running the game but it did nothing, can anyone help me out here?

(P.S. when I try to preview a cutscene with the cutscene maker, I get a window preview of it for about 0.1 seconds and then it closes. So, I can't actually preview either.)

Did you make a script folder inside of your game folder? That's where you need to put them.

I put them in the script folder and they're working, at the start of a stage/scene.

But now I'm wondering how do I trigger a cutscene in the middle of stage/scene.

(e.g. Axel is walking through the stage and at a certain point stage4a_1.txt kicks off)

The first in-game cutscene for any scene needs to have a "_0" at the end of the file name (stage4a_0 for example). Stage4a_1.txt will be the second in-game cutscene for that particular scene.

Unfortunately you cannot trigger an actual cutscene in the middle of a scene. They will always be played at the beginning of a scene.
