The manual says like this but I still can't understand it:
SOR2: Hits are shown where the character collision box is
SOR3: Hits are shown on the clash point between characters

Anybody can explain this please?

SoR2 hit type makes the hit animation happen where the attacker's collision box is.
SoR3 hit type will make hit animations appear properly over an enemy.

For example, look at my sig...
With SoR2 collision type, there would only be one hit animation at the end of the Kikoushou, no matter how close some of those enemies are.
With SoR3 collision type, a hit animation is shown over each enemy, where the Kikoushou and enemy collide.

Guys, I have a controller tech question. I just switched to a new system with win 7. I installed my x-box 360 controller alright, but it seems SORR v5 still does not recognize it as in the controller options with the keyboard/gamepad alternative, the gamepad option is not selectable. It worked on my old system (Vista). What am I missing?

Thanx in advance

Elmo, I have a similar problem (also win7). In order to play alone with 360 controller there must be no other controllers connected. If there is, I can only play as player 2 with 360 controller. So have you tried the 360 controller to be as player 2? (Also try different usb ports but I guess you already done that;))

You first press the key on your keyboard called Caps Lock, then you go to the tutorials section where all of these things are set out step by step.

SORR V5 Saving The Game Queries

Postby Kevtherev » Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:06 pm

Hello Bomber and Co,

I just joined and discovered the game two weeks ago and have been playing it ever since, had the games as a child on megadrive. fantastic achievement and a credit to you all, much appreciated all the work you guys have done, the game is a doozy and plays like a gem, the AI is mad and the best i have seen ever in a scrolling beat em up. The game builts on and is actually better then the origional versions. I am a SOR fan based here in ireland, the place as you know is in bits and banjacked in debt, so i guess i was doing a bit of comfort gaming with SOR.

Anyway my question is as regards saving the game and progress you have made in unlocking all the various extras/cheats. I have read forum and know it alt and X to save etc and then game starts up from where you left off. what has happened to me a few times is i beat the game up on normal maybe with no continues, get your money, eg 65, 0000 or something, i buy some items like say unlocking SOR characters or maybe a roo, play a bit, I then turn off my PC when finished, Another day when i go to turn on game after extracting it from the ZIP RAR file all the unlockables are gone and i have to beat game again, most annoying. QUestion DO i Just have to keep SORR permentantly on or PC left on in order to maintain the money i have earned in the gameplay. I save game alt and x turn off PC and then when game extraacted again i have to keep putting in my new profile details. someone please enlighten me on this.

Why do you keep extracting the game? O.o

lolwtf? YES. Of course you have to keep the game on your PC (and extracted) permanently to keep any files, including savegames.

Or perhaps a flash drive, but either way use the questions thread next time ;)

Hello guys ^_^ It's been a while since I posted I know. My obsession with SORR died after spending WEEKS trying to make my own levels and ... well sparing you the gory details, I failed big time :/ in those 'weeks' I couldn't even get 'Stage 1' to work. I will forever be sad that I haven't the brains to do what some of you amazing creators can do. Sob, whine, moan etc etc ^_^

ALAS I shall have to make do by playing games that the others have made instead :D So you beter get to work :P Haha, I joke, I joke. But I AM looking forward to downloading some of these new games I see!

What I wanted to ask about was a problem I've noticed recently. I have ALWAYS played on the 60 FPS mode in the games Video Options because that was the Streets of Rage 2 speed I think and that's what I was used to. However I noticed that the game was starting to run a little faster than what I'm used to. I didn't think it was a HUGE difference but sure enough I found myself dying a LOT because I couldn't ajust to the sudden change of speed. So I wondered if maybe my settings were wrong or something, so I switched to 50 FPS but in that the game runs in slow motion lol (they jump and takes a while for them to fall back down basically) so I knew it MUST have been 60 I played on before but for some reason it's just too fast, like what I'd expect from 'full speed' option :/ I'm at a loss on how to fix it, if it can be fixed. Then to my shock horror, today when I tried to play, it went "not responding" on me a few times :/ Though that issue could've just been my laptop but it seemed a strange coincidence in timing when the game is already being weird.

Does anyone know if this is a common problem? Do I need to redownload the game or something? Is there some kind of a reset I need to do to it? If there's no alternative, I really don't mind having to start over from scratch. I just want to be able to play it lol.

Thanks very much for any insight you can offer ^_^ I miss this game and I really want to start loving it again.
