Would you believe I didn't make the connection to the original source of the melody until I was reminded of this track about 5 minutes ago - 17 years or so later. But then I was not familiar with the game's soundtrack at the time! Apparently this made the Top 10 of the specialist Dance Chart in 1995...

also, old but still so very epic. This boss battle was my favorite part of the game.

Nah, though it is a big Sega franchise, and the clue is in the title :P But it's reassuring to know someone else isn't immediately familiar with the source theme.

lol, I haven't played much Sonic in ages. So guessing the comparative track in the series is highly unlikely for me lol.
