I've done both black and white, but neither fpg or sormaker seem to read it.

Pure blackness: 0 0 0. One single digit beyond that and it will turn black.

Ive set all values to 0, even the hue, but still no results... :(

^Probably hasn't positioned the layers, then... click on any layer button in the top right, and then click on one of the arrows or the dot in the bottom.

Anyway, copypasta tip time!
CajNatalie wrote:Always put player start position far away from any collision horizons above... that means that in a narrow stage put the start as low as possible, because SoRR will start player 2 a good distance above player 1.

For really narrow stages, put some kind of opening in the collision map for player 2 to escape through... if there's no area that should be walkable at all above the start position, you could try using a block of yellow and putting player 1's start there, then testing and see if you can drop out and escape.
Make sure the escapable zone is moderately large. Overdoing it and having funny collision is better than underdoing it and leaving a game-breaker in.

Sorry about the size. I'm just trying to finish the bridge route of my mod...
@CajNatalie, i didn't forget about the background positioning... the problem is that even having the right values and position it seems that the black color covers the background.

There should be some sort of corruption while uploading the image in the fpg. Check your values. Put your image in the fpg. Save, then the same image extract it into .bmp file, open it with your image editor, see the color value of it and if it was changed form the original image then the fpg corrupted it. So, to solve that, correct this image on .bmp with the right colors, SAVE USING THE "SAVE" OPTION AND NOT THE "SAVE AS" OPTION, then substitute the image with the new edited .bmp.

You seem to be having trouble with colours in general. First collisions, now transparency.

Get a better image program?

Hell, as much as I may hate the way it's completely Windows-unfriendly, GIMP works wonders.
Saving as PNG has never killed any transparent pixels, and collision maps have always been colour-solid.

I considered that, but a friend of mine told me that gimp makes you download a malicious program that puts Trojan on your computer...

GAH! Use Photoshop. Both GIMP and Photoshop are the best options for image edition.

XD

GIMP is a recognised and well-respected form of image editing software, even used by businesses.
Sure, it's got a shitty interface but it's good at what it does and for free.
No trojans here. Last place I worked with had some massive anti-virus stuff installed and no trojans on its GIMP either.

Have you set that background layer to infinite loop? Must be at least 320 pixels wide to get this option.

Your background simply isn't tall enough.
I thought you couldn't see the background or something. o.O

Okay, the areas that you need to show in black must be 0 2 0 so in the game looks black. The transparent ones must be in pure blackness, which is 0 0 0. It seems the lower part of the bridge was also in pure blackness. Also check the positioning of your layers, if the background layer doesn't reach low enough to be covered by the front layer, then you'll get the twilight zone effect.

Pretty much you gotta be checking each and every color. If it's still giving you problem, send me your fpg and smk by PM and lemme see what's the problem. I'll explain you step by step how to solve it.

I did what you said Don. I had to remove the pitch black spaces from the main layer. Now its working perfectly :D And I took the risk and downloaded GIMP. It DOES do colors much better than my original program. Now hopefully I won't be having anymore trouble...
