Hi everybody.

Did not really know where to post this question, so... Here it goes !

So, I recently bought this new laptop, which is quite convenient when it comes to playing recent games (Prince of Persia 2008 runs smoothly, for instance). However, whenever I try to play SoRR on it, the game plays very slowly, except on "Normal" scale. Even on "2xNormal", though it is playable, I get annoying slowdowns each time visual effects are displayed and during the first 30 seconds of each level. Not to mention how terrible it went when I tried HQ2X...

I am playing on a Dell Vostro laptop, under Win7 64 bits, with an Intel i3 23xx CPU, 4GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 6490 GPU. My drivers are up-to-date and I already tried WinXP and Vista compatibility modes. Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Emthree.

Right click SoRR... see if you can pick your GPU.
My laptop actually has two GPUs... an Intel HD that I didn't know about and an NVidea 3D one... had to do some adjustments to make sure it always defaults to NVidea with applications a while ago.

This is just a hunch of course... if this isn't the case then I can't help ya, lol.

Round 4 is harder than Round 1 for Blaze, and I did it, too!!!

SoR3 as close as possible as to how it should've been: Complete Edition

Yep, I have switchable GPUs too, but no problem there, I have configured them so that the ATI handles SoRR.

My question doesn't have anything to do with the actual gameplay but it is as follows. Do you guys - or Bombergames especially - look it with a good or bad eye if I promote this game making my own musical dedication for it? I mean, how acceptable is it? Because Sega has done what it has done pretty much banning the game and if I promote it in my main YouTube channel with music I made inspirated by mainly SoRR V5 OST. Would it bring any trouble to anyone if I promoted this to thousands of people?

Because I have 1290 subscribers on my main YouTube channels and my brother who is a part of our cogbob "project" has even more; 2061 subscribers in total. So 3351 people would be reached through YouTube instantly but then I also got a Soundcloud page with 238 followers which would see my SoRR V5 dedicated tracks, again quite instantly, and hear about the game :)

Obviously, I wouldn't provide anyone with any download links to get the game (because I don't want trouble from Sega or anyone else in that matter and I don't also want trouble for anyone else). It would be just my personal musical dedication to the game and to bring knowledge to our followers that a magnificent game like this exists. Basically I thought I could put my SoRR inspirated music on top of some gameplay video clips by me, I think it would look pretty cool. :) So, in short, is this a good or a bad idea?

1. Great Job guys this is the most amazing thing I have seen in a while.2 Sorry if I post this in the wrong place if so please tell me where to post it.3. This game is legend and I was wondering if there is a way to play this on your wii. And if not could the creaters possible turn the game into a wii wad version or maybe some type of rom that could run off maybe a genensis emulator on my wii or add a boot.dol file to it so that will make it possible to play on the wii as well. I would be greatful for anything this game is amazing and I want to share it with all my friends and not have it limited to my comp please. Trust me I am grateful that the game is even exist at all its amazing. But if there is anyway no matter how long it takes please could a wii version be realeased its the only system I have and can afford right now. Thanks for reading GOD Bless the entire team and this amazing accomplised project.

Not in Wii, from what I know. I think there was some port on the works but it didn't make it in the end.

You mean save states? If you exit the game by pressing Alt + X you will restart from the beginning of that scene next time you boot up SorR. This does not work for Sormaker mods however.
