EDIT: Wow, triple DUH! I got my own mod´s name wrong... it's "Rise of the BLACK Dragon", as stated on the first post. Anyhow, with my luck, there´s probably another game with that name, as well.

Sweet! I also was working in a Chinatown stages for my mod but this one looks really nice. Hope we don't clash on them. :)

BTW, lucas, do you mind if I also add you on MSN? Probly we could work and share stuff of our respective mods. :)

Thanks to all those who recently played my mods and reviewed them. I´m glad that they haven´t been forgotten.

Now, I´m here to announce a new mod, to be called STREETS OF RAGE - D.O.A - DEAD ON ARRIVAL, which just "started production", so it might be a little while before I have something to show. But just wanted to keep you posted. God willing, this will be my greatest mod yet, with tons of alternate routes and new scenes, all the stuff you enjoyed from my last mods. So, stay tuned for more.

Oh my!!! :D These are really exciting times when mods are concerned, so much goodness is heading our way!

For the record, I still play your mods (and some other ones as well). For example "Rise of the Black Dragon" has the kind of enjoyable playability that seems to last time well, but the story wasn't that hot, so to speak. I'm not interested into getting any lengthy discussions about it (don't ask why I don't like that story), but I hope you'll come up with something different and better next time. The idea about recognizable black outfits was kinda nice though, it gave the mod a more personalized feel.

Considering the high quality and playability of your previous work, this is excellent news. Now, I don't know what kind of plans you have at the moment, but if you take wishes into account, I hope we'll be seeing some new exciting locations. What I mean is that many mods use same material that's become too common now - I hope you manage to keep things fresh. That said, it's great that you have more to share with us.

Largamon, I saw your recent reviews for many mods, including mine, so it´s great to see new faces becoming so active in the community. Not so long ago, it was becoming kinda depressing, nobody was commenting on the new mods released. So, I hope this is a new tendency.

Can´t help but feel curious... why can´t I ask why you didn´t like the story? :lol: It´s OK if you don´t wanna answer.

I will do my best to keep it all fresh. I don´t like to recycle stuff either, but sometimes it´s the only way (I´m not about to start drawing the scenes myself :P ). But hopefully, by mixing old and new, I´ll be able to create exciting new scenery.

And Don... man, if everything goes as planned, you gonna love this one. Here´s hoping...

The story of 'Rise of the Black Dragon' is something like a kung-fu movie, and the idea of the last stage seems from Bruce Lee's movie. The story wanna show some warrior spirit, but I think it is not good for the two main reasons:

1. We want fighting BAD GUYs, we're glad to see some plots from them ( :shock: ), showing some warrior spirit make them like good guys.
2. All things Shiva does are services for his fighting game. Shiva and Rudra seems to be a bit abnormal, they are like saying: please kick me ass!

I feel a bit weird when I finished the game.

Thank you. Quality mods take much time and effort to make, so I felt that I really should give some feedback from my part and let the modders know that their work is appreciated and played. SORMaker in general is fantastic addition to Streets of Rage Remake, since it can extend the game's lifespan so much.

I also hope that mod scene stays alive & vibrant. This is also a good moment to remind people about "Share your palettes here" -thread. I hope it gets some activity.

Yeah, drawing things faithfully to SOR style would be enormous undertaking, ripping backgrounds is of course understandable and acceptable. I think "Black Dragon" was really remarkable in the way how the stages felt fresh, so I'm confident that you can pull it again in "D.O.A.".

Me too, didn't like that feel. There's something slightly creepy about the story and the way it is told. For starters, dialogue seems serious and I think it should have been more lighthearted or comedic to create that old-school Kung Fu movie -feel. But like I said, I'm not interested in getting into any in-depth discussions about it, so this is the only comment I'll give about the subject. But apparently I'm not alone in this one, like I suspected.

I can see where you´re coming from, even though I didn´t get that weird vibe when I was making it. The whole "please kick my ass" got me laughing, it wasn´t intentional, but then again, maybe I watched too many animes, where things work like that: "I have a secret. If you wanna know it, beat me!"

But then again, I´ll keep that in mind and work hard. Thanks again!

That´s it for now. I hope to have more shortly. As far as script goes, I found a way to include at least Rudra and Electra in the storyline as players, so that you know, you´re not watching the cutscenes involving Axel, Blaze and everyone else, and then it cuts to the game and, oh it´s Rudra! :D
