I really wish Sonic 1 Megamix and S Factor: Sonia and Silver final versions are shown in this SAGE!

That would be a dream come true. :)

Yeah, S Factor looks awesome but Megamix, I've grown quite disapointed with it because of their level designs that have became more and more frustrating to play, don't feel like an enjoyable Sonic game (and I enjoyed Sonic 4 so that says all).

Wow, I don't know you liked this game :o

For me, Sonic 4 sucks, for me Megamix is the true Sonic 4, even with your defects.

Don't worry, if you like Sonic 4 i respect your opinion.

I told you about my Sonic hack some time ago and I have to say that it's going very well. Soon I will publish a new video showing the new look of the game. For the momento you can see the latest video but I have to say that it's outdated since there are a lot of news not present in this video:

The info and news are in my web ;)

Anyone know how to edit the title screen? I intend to create romhacks Sonic, I know how to edit sprites and change some features to create new characters to replace Sonic. But I really wanted to edit animations Sonic on the title screen and redraw new characters. I've looked in many sites and forums, even Sonic Retro, but nothing that would enable me to learn to do that. For starters, I want to edit Sonic1.

Interesting hack Psycho RFG, I see it's mostly Sonic 3 features imported to Sonic 1 and some palettes tweaks but is there anything else special about this hack?

Oh BTW, I forgot to post my recommended SAGE 2011 entries.

- Sonic: Before The Sequel: Set between Sonic 1 and 2, this one won the "Best of Show" winning of this SAGE and it's damn well worthy of the title. Beautiful and large stages, a lot of nice cutscenes, nice OST and great physics, this fangame is a winner in every department. The demo is also very long and according to the developer, there's probably going to be a final release before the end of the year (yes I know what you think  ). It's definitely the fangame to try this year!

- Sonic Worlds Level Collab It's basically a pack of many stages created by different people using the Sonic Worlds engine. A really nice idea for those that can't afford to develop completely a entire fangame. Anyway, the levels that were in were pretty good, especially Amazing Ocean which, as the name implies is really amazing. The Sonic Worlds engine also has improved a lot since the last time I tried it, the physics are way more accurate and propose more features. Don't hesitate to check that one out, I had a lot of fun.

- Sonic Axiom I remember trying a demo of this last year and was particularly pleased with it. This year, Sonic Axiom has been released in his final version! So yeah, that makes another complete Sonic fangame :P
Anyway, this one propose the typical cast of characters that is Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and has a comprehensive set of stages. However, the camera is kind of choppy, so are a good deal of animations as well but if you can deal with them, this is a nice fangame with decent physics.

They also run the 2011 hack contest at Sonic Retro http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php? ... 26487&st=0

Apparently, Sonic VR is a must try (it's basically like Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions). Same for Sonic 2 Heroes, a very solid hack that allows you to play as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles altogether in Sonic 2.

Oh BTW, I forgot to post my recommended Slap-in-the-Face-Expo-2011 entries.

- Sonic: Before The Sequel: Some random Sonic game/hack that clearly WON'T be shutdown because its Sonic!
- Sonic Worlds Level Collab Physics are cool yadda yadda, won't be shut down either! Blue Power!
- Sonic AxiomSurprise! Another Sonic game/hack! I wonder if it will be shut d-...NAH! Its Sonic! Lol Sega Lol!

They also run the 2011 hack contest at Sonic Retro, with no risk of being shut down! Party time! http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php? ... 26487&st=0

Apparently, Sonic VR is a must try (it's basically like Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions). I have a suspicious feeling it...WON't BE SHUT DOWN! (giggle)

Thanks for recommending those games, Ice... I completely missed SAGE this year. As a matter of fact, been on the Internet a lot less lately. Still happy to see the community still here, though. Trying Sonic Axiom now; I like the complete games. :D

Hi, as I said, this video is outdated and the hack looks better now with some new objects art. As for cool features, you can see the "Random monitors" that could be any standard monitor or it could content a new feature like invert controls, rest a life, give points, rest 10 rings.... etc. These monitors are placed in the 2 first acts of Scrap Brain Zone. The hack has toons of bugfixes from the original Sonic 1. I have added the "Super Peel Out" move from Sonic CD. All the features and changes of my hack are detailed in my web (in Spanish only, sorry). Take a look: http://psychorfg.neopancho.net/
I'm finishing some things, maybe a new video will be released soon.
I have tested my hack in my real consoles and works fine :D

Anyone picked up Generations yet? It's fantastic and has loads of little nods in it!
