I've got a list of a few I have in the ARP that weren't in your part of the OSt:

-Both Adventure Island remixes (the ones with and without lyrics from "Move any Mountain".)
-One of the Expander remixes you made is missing as well. The much rougher and echoy one is the one missing.

Also, BGM1401: Why does your Poets I remix have "(Beta Mix)" in it? Was there another version you didn't add or something? There's only one Poets I remix in there which is why I'm asking.

I have all of those tracks in the one I d/l'd from the original link.

also, I had the same question about the Poets I title.

Island Of Everlasting Summer vocal and instrumental from Super Adventure Island are in the UOST.

The reason my real old mixes of Expander, Dance Club and maybe one or two others which made it into the ARP are not here is because I no longer have them in mp3 format or the song files any more due to unforeseen PC circumstances (AKA knackered PC)

I did have the ogg files on my laptop so i included them in the ARP because of that reason.
Also some may remember I did upload MP3s of those tracks a couple of years ago when I uploaded a collection of random works that didn't make the cut, not sure if thats a working link is still out there though.

In my opinion while it would have been nice to have included them if i had those tracks still, I don't see it as a major loss, because i much prefer the newer mixes.

At the time of scoring the parts for Poets I, I added everything in before a plugin issue stopped me from saving the latest version - it had just an extra guitar layer, but which I feel would have made it more accurate. I decided to revert to an earlier file right before that addition. However, this did not stop the track from making it into V5 as it was still considered to be very good by the rest of the team. So, because the version in V5 was technically unfinished from what I'd planned, I labelled it as 'Beta Mix'; a reference to it not quite being 100% complete!

Oh that makes so much sense BGM1401. =) Any plans on doing the track as it was originally intended in the future? I like the current version, don't get me wrong, but I'd like to see it finished just for the hell of it. lol.

Btw, Groovemaster303, I have the other Expander remix converted to Mp3 via the ARP OGGs. Should I upload it for the sake of the Ultimate OST?

Also, you were right. I was looking for Adventure Island. No wonder I couldn't find the tracks. lol.

Wow, Poets I is my favorite track of the series. And the remix is exactly what such track deserves.
I would like to see it finished.

I do love The Poets I also. Never knew before that it was incomplete. I too would love to see what the finished version would sound like if it ever was completed :D

The project files are gone so it wouldn't be possible to return to Poets I, but a completed version would have honestly been almost identical to the V5 one - it is just the main riff as heard at the start of the track that lacked the extra layer to sound more 'fleshed out'. All the other parts - drums, bass, B-section guitar, brass etc - sound exactly the same as planned, no change. So it was not too great a loss - as I said, it did impact slightly on the accuracy of that section, but all other parts were fully intact.

There were a lot of other, more serious omissions in comparison, really: other tracks did receive genuinely drastic changes from the original versions - the two main Boss musics being the most well known examples by now, due to the file mix-ups. But by far the worst Beta (which thankfully was removed) was the rough draft of Slow Moon - it was frankly shite. If I had not supplied a better version, it would've stayed in V5 (there was no other version at the time); I didn't want that rubbish to be kept in, and knew I had to come up with something proper. Luckily I had the spark of an idea, for the 'Ace Of Base' Slow Moon as it has become known, which IMO ended up being one of the strongest tracks of all.

I'd say, my best finished track that didn't make it into V5...was my 'Dilapidated Town'. Included all parts from the original with a sound and style that I was really satisfied with. I don't know exactly why it was omitted because I made my case for the update at the time (and others seemed to really like it), but it was literally sent a day before the release and it may have been another casualty of the files not being updated in time. I feel it was more worthy of inclusion than some of my other tracks; I'd have been happier if say, Spin On The Bridge was kept as Gecko's excellent V4 mix, if that meant my Dilapidated Town could've made the cut instead, for example. But there you go...

This d**n world is bleak but thank God there are still people driven by passion. You did this for free and composed these tracks during your free time. Kudos to your prodigious dedication. \o/

Thank you Groove, BGM 1401, Geckoyamori, B-A-C, Kaleth for this amazing soundtrack, but too bad that some musics are too short imo [ Rudra Awekening, Cycle I Groovemaster version, Sojutsu, etc ] and anothers musics Are not in this ost.

Btw, thank you Groove and Iceweb 38 for uploading this ost and the anothers members to upload mirrors.
Thank you so much Bombergames for this piece of art, i will never forget this forum, this game and the sormaker mods.

Great job on this release, fellas. It's striking just how much went into the soundtracks over the various versions and it's great to finally have them all in one place. A fitting tribute to arguably the finest fangame ever made.

Oh, and 12" version of Barbarian = win.

Anything BGM/Duke touched from the games just turned to gold. Genius of remastering.
Groovemaster303 isn't called the Groove Master for nothing... love the improv and so many tracks.
And let's not forget the awesomeness Gecko adds.

Mixing and matching my favorites is so damn tough. Everything from you three is amazing... had to spend over an hour working out my choices.
o.o

Finally, at 3am, I've put together all my .ogg files.
Time to sleep, maybe? Lol.
