Controller configuration help please!

I just downloaded this, and Im trying to play using a PS3 Controller. I got it all working, but in the settings, I cant set any actions to the Square and "X" Buttons on my controller, all the other buttons work fine though. Any ideas on what I should do?

Have you gotten your PS3 controller to work on other games? Are you sure the Square and X buttons respond when you test the gamepad out in Windows' Control Panel (or are you emulating the game in Linux or something)?

I tested it in Control Panel, and Ive used it on an N64 Emulator. Those work fine, it just doesnt seem to detect them in SoRR... Its bugging me because I dont wnna be using triggers for most of my attacks...

Are there alternate drivers for the PS3 controller you could try? I don't have any experience getting one to work, so I'm not sure if any exist or not.

One thing that should work if it's a problem with Streets of Rage Remake having issues with PS3 controllers is a free program called JoyToKey. What it does is it emulates your joystick as a keyboard. You set it up so that when you press the Square button it's as though you're pressing the A key (or whatever key you want) on your keyboard, set the D-pad to read as the arrow keys, etc. Then it's just a matter of setting the config in SoRR to keyboard and make the inputs match what you have emulated on your gamepad. I have friends who set it up with their custom arcade cabinet, so it'd probably work with SoRR.
