Boss fights for me are easy once you have their patterns memorized. Here's a few tricks that have worked for me, and maybe they might work for everyone else.

Firstly, I have found that starting a punching combo, then finishing it off with a grappling combo usually does the most damage for every character (depending on their power stat of course). I.E.: B, B, B, forward walk/dash into stunned opponent to hold them and keep holding forward, B, B, B (some characters like Shiva have an extra B... characters like Axle end the combo on that last B, so for those characters, only 2 B's) then either back B to throw, or flip over (c button) and then back B for the more powerful move (I.E. Blaze's German Suplex). Max is the only one where you can let go of forward and just hit b after the first two grappling BB combos since he does that bearhug that hits 5 times. It's highly recommended that you don't attempt this on Abadede though, as he can easily (and quickly) counter out of it.

SOR1 Bosses (for the SOR1 route):
Boss 1 (Antonio): Easiest of boss fights. Approach him from the side (walking up or down to him) since walking straight to him will result in him kicking you in the face. Attack him once you're close enough.

Boss 2 (Zamza): This one you have to play mind games with cause everytime you walk towards him, he walks away, and everytime YOU walk away, HE follows you. There will be moments where he will try to get to the other side of you (I.E. he moved up/down, then foward to get behind you). Thats when you attack him. Otherwise he will claw you to death.

Boss 3 (Abadede): This also works for SOR2. Since this guy is practically invincible at times, the only way you can attack him is to use the side trick like in the first boss, only NOT SO CLOSE! It's recommended using a character that has a far reach when it comes to attacking (Shiva/Zan/Elle, ect...) keep punching him a few times till he ducks down to attack. As soon as he ducks, move the opposite direction so you wont get hit. Keep doing this for a while till you finally beat him. if done right, you won't get damaged at all.

Boss 4 (Big Ben): Really easy if its one, semi-easy if it's two. Big Ben has a pattern of moving diagonally up or down when he shoots his fire depending on where you are located. once you avoid him and he passes you, immediately attack him from the back. But remember, this guy you CAN'T pick up or else you will get hurt as well (like the SOR3 Big Bens... the SOR2 ones you can throw around like normally). If it's two Big Bens, try to see if you can get them to go in the same direction so you can attack them simultaneously... otherwise alternate between the two till you only have one you can kill easily.

Boss 5 (Mona & Lisa): The easier version than the SOR3 version (mainly since they don't move backwards when you hit them). Once you attack one (or both if you're lucky), make sure you're right on the attack slightly before they get fully back up, that way they wont be jumpin around all the time kicking you. Just keep in mind to not throw them cause they always safe land (unless you're using a SLAM throw attack like Shiva's back throw).

Boss 6 (Robo Y): Annoying as hell, but can actually be defeated. He's always movin in a circula pattern. Attack him when he gets slightly close (safer if you use a character with a far reach attack like for Abadede). After you finish the attack, move up or down to avoid him, he will go back to his circle pattern. At times he will shoot missiles, which you can easily avoid by moving up and down. Keep in mind that combos rarely work for this guy, so you might either have to use jump attacks the whole time, your special move, OR a jump down attack (C down) to follow up with a combo.

I'll type up more for the SOR2 & 3 bosses tonight when I'm home and have more time.

The interesting thing that i noticed with zamza is that he always changes lanes on jump, so you can predict on what lane he can be. In the case of the two player battle he will change the lanes between the players. I used this trick to set up a blitz 2 with max easily and with faster characters like shiva you can grab him and do a vault-infinite or whatever.

As for the blowing fire fatsoes., i noticed that you can abuse the fact once you knock him down he will do a elbow drop if you are too close, wich you can avoid and grab him, certan players can grab him from behind and do a throw while others can't. I found that with max it is hard to avoid the elbow drop due to the slowness, but his blitz 1 most of the time goes under the fire breath and sometimes when it doesn't knock down you can use it as a settup for a grab. Blitz 2 is not bad to but most often then not i was caught by fire.

The biggest problem with max i had while fighting that fat boxer boss, since i am to slow to avoid the but drop with max. I found that best counter for it is a jump then attack (neutral jump) but only if he isn't close enough. His grab can also be canceled with a special any time, so it is that is also a way to defend. Also sometimes it is better to preform a special and lose a little health than to let him finish the grab even if your meter isn't full, yet another aspect of the game i like very much.

Souther is actually easier than that. His attack is fairly slow, so if you just walk up to him (or make him walk up to you), you can just start hitting him before he attacks. Of course you can't really do this with Skate or Roo.

You can do it as Roo if you turn you back on him and then keep tapping the back-attack key. Roo's tail swipe has godly range and only knocks down if you're fairly close, so with careful timing of the back-attack key and the directional keys, you can keep an enemy hitstunned without them having a chance to retaliate.

There's no very good ways to handle SoR2 ninjas. I always roll up and down to avoid their attacks and try to catch a chance. And another enemy - Muay Thai boxer, can't find good ways to beat him, I think he is even stronger than the bosses except the health.

I found that Thai Boxers can be grabbed fairly consistently by walking into them from below/above. (that is, they're just a little bit less likely to counter it than most other approaches) The only problem is that they usually appear in groups and while you grab one, the others will get busy digging their heels into the back of your skull.

Ninja's are tricky since they usually walk around too quickly to grab. I did learn you're best off not standing right next to them when they get up, since they'll nail you with that overpowered flying chop of theirs. Best approach I've gotten so far is wait until they approach and hit them with a quick combo before they can spam that flying chop on you while avoiding their ranged attacks. Unfortunately, they love appearing in areas where your movement is limited in some way. (snares, water, traps, laser beams above your head that don't affect them...you name it)

For the Muay Thai guys you gotta find ways to knock'em down (a jump kick, something I dunno), but while they're on the ground stay right over them and you'll grab them fuckers. If you're crowded and have like a group of 2 or 3, grab one and throw him to the rest, then go over another and do it over and over again.

Also in that stage where you start after entering from the caves, in the last part of that area will be a segment where a bucnh of Haku-oh's and Muay Thais would clutter up (both kind of enemies annoying as fuck), my advice? Go little by little and deal with one fucker at a time. IF you have a pipe (Donovans drop some pipes or bats in that area) you can wake up the Muay Thai who's waiting for you to approach with ut, he will not react until you whack him. Then with pipe in hand it's lot easier to keep him at bay.

I got an idea to get infinite score.

1. Select a proper difficulty.
2. Turned on the sabers, weapon doesn't disappear, weapon can take out of the stage, infinite lives in the cheats.
3. Select a stage to get a sword, then find Mr.X. Don't kill Mr.X, only kill punks, 330 points for each.
4. Now you can get your infinite points.

It can even be more simple :
1. Select Easy (less HP per punk).
2. Turn on infinite lives in the cheats.
3. Select Mr.X' office stage. Don't kill Mr.X, only kill punks, 330 points for each.
4. Now you can get your infinite points

But anyway it will be boooooooooooooring

1. Set timer off.
2. Set players damage on
3. Turn on infinite lives in the cheats.
4. Start a 2 players game and kill your partner a "few" of times on a inactive area (no enemies around).

But yeah... pointless

There is a S rank too, you need 100k points.

If you have a S rank in the four "stages" you will unlock...... nothing
