You can take some from the music folder of v5, just make sure you copy them rather than cutting and pasting. Also if you have v4, the ogg files there are listed as 00-32 I believe. Just add the .ogg extension to those and you can use them.

I've got that working too now, thanks a lot!

I only have one more problem, and looking through the topic you had a similar problem. Earlier it was said that each set of eight waves of enemies is relegated to each individual camera lock. How do I get SORMaker to tell the difference between one group of enemies and another group?

What I want to do is have three waves, then the camera unlocks and you go right for some more waves. If I set the second group of enemies to "wave 4" the camera won't scroll (and I'd run out of waves really quickly). If I set them to "wave 1" they come onscreen too early.

They're already quite a distance away from the first "camera lock" event. What do i do to make the enemies and camera behave?

there's an arrow on the screen overlaying the stage towards the right, click it and then try placing enemies.

I clicked the arrow and it shot me all the way to the end of the stage. Do I really need a gap that enormous? o_O

EDIT: Oh, now I see what you mean. Okay, almost got it. I now have two separate waves, but the enemy does not appear until I'm at the end of the stage, rather than as soon as I pass by where I placed them. I can see it must have to do with the Axel sprite, but I can't move it.

So all I need now is some way to trigger the enemy halfway through the stage instead of at the end.

Press the left and right arrow keys to move Axel one sector at a time. Note that each sector has its own list of enemies separate from all the others. Basically, when the character passes the mark indicated by Axel, the enemies in that list will begin to spawn. To get enemies to "behave" you might want to spawn them ahead of the player (in the "standing" position if you want them to wait).

Hii, um. How do I get FPG edit to actually open?

I install it, hit the shortcut and it just "stops working", am I doing something wrong? o.O
I went to where it was installed and used it, still "stops working" and closes.

I read as much about it as I could and I don't see anything about computer compatibility (I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit). I tried changing to compatibility, but that did nothing. Used search on the forums, and I didn't see anything about this. Didn't see anything about it in the download topic for the editor either. Am I doing something wrong? Little help here. XD


Sorry if this question doesn't belong here. o.o
Really interested in using it. ><

1. Open System by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.

2. Click Advanced System Settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3. Under Performance, click Settings.

4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

5. click add and select fpgedit.exe -(I had that problem too and this helped for me)

I don't know if this is a bug or I'm doing it wrong, but when I defeat a boss that still has backup punks left in the queue, some of them will appear out of thin air while the boss is dying and just stand there (even though they are set to "drop down").

Hi all,

I think it's fantastic that in these tenser times people are coming together to assist on things with SORMaker. I thank you for all the current resources.

I can navigate the maker very easily, but one thing hampers my progress. When I create a level, or add in a new "map", when I'm testing the level I have a problem with glitching. As I walk along or move around in the level the background glitches and at some times blends and becomes transparent etc. I've attached a screen shot to show you what I mean.

I've read Bombers guide but I can't seem to see an area that discusses this in depth, or at least simplifies it. I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to things like this. Can anyone help simplify/solve this for me? Sorry if my question violates any terms.. thanks.

I think the problem here is that the background contains pure black. I had this issue, and I went and edited the original PNG to remove the black and replace it with an almost-black color (as long as it's not 0, 0, 0 you're fine). The smearing went away after that.

I'm having another issue because I decided to be all fancy and make an elevator level.

-Tried making a two-layer FPG with the walkable floor as layer 10 and the background as layer 1. Also tried the opposite. The first gives me just the background, and you can walk all over it. The second option shows the floor in SORMaker (and part of its background, even though I used pure black for transparency), but the test play is still just the background.
-I don't know how to set collision for elevator stages because the little click and drag lines vanish when I choose "elevator". Do I need to make one of those colored maps?
-Also, I do not know how to make the floor move. Somebody else had a similar problem earlier. Unfortunately, he solved it on his own and did not post his solution.

Has anyone here made an elevator stage and can tell me what you need to do differently from a normal stage?

well for my first post i request assistance; got the sormaker to work, FPG editor is all good but i cant' get a correct wave of enemies, plus they appear on screen only when triggered : i joined a screencap if someone can help me with this, thank you !

With the exception of putting them at the very beginning of the level, crouching/standing enemies should always be outside of the "Axel box". Otherwise you'll get them popping in out of nowhere. If you want enemies to appear within the range of the Axel box, have them enter the room by walking in from offscreen (still place them out of the box) or have them drop in or jump in.

You have to draw a collision map. Check Bomberlink's second tutorial. I haven't tried this myself yet but it seems simple enough.
