What Controller do you use to play SORR

Postby tsomo2000 » Sun Mar 27, 2011 9:26 pm

Hi All

I just wondered what peoples choices were for when playing SORR?

I have used a PS1 pad with a USB converter for quite some time (prob 5+ yrs), and I use this to play most of my other 8bit/16bit games via my pc/emulators. I have seen some USB style Megadrive style (6 button) pads on ebay, but havent got round to purchasing one yet. The PS1 pad gives a good response, but the button layout can be a little un-authentic sometimes.

Thanks

I usually rock my 360 controller or the PS3 controller when my sony friend is over.

Button config
a- Jump
x - Punch
y- Special
b- back attack (i have to use xpadder for this one ... i just assign punch and jump to the same key)

Then for the second player its all using xpadder.

aint being funny but the captcha test on these forums is rediculous, my maths is terrible at best without being tested on my algebreic skills just to login, but i use my ps3 controller (through usb as bluetoooth doesnt seem to work) through motionjoy or ds3 or joy2key (depends what i been playing before, usually if i been playing oblivion its joy2key because im too lazy to close a prog and open a new one plus joy2key works on 99.9% of the games i play with the ability to save configs for diff games, carmageddon just wouldnt b the same without it :D)

I'll probably be using a keyboard.
What if the world had no Streets of Rage?

I presume it's due to the sloppy D-PAD internals. They should have stuck to using soft-rubber buttons for the D-Pad instead of horrible "clicky-clicky" mouse-button internals. Even I felt like it was an inferior product compared to the real deal and would rather have an actual convertor for the job to use my original Saturn controllers then this wannabe.

Was about to post this myself. I got a pair of USB Sega Saturn pads about a year ago, and they are THE best thing for any game that doesn't require analogue sticks. I honestly consider it to be the best digital pad design in existence.

Better still, Sega Saturn emulation is really quite good now. Guardian Heroes at your PC is great.
