First time that I beaten it without cheats (so getting the special ending) I passed through all areas. I started on the last area and followed routes passing from sor2 until ending on sor1 headquarters. I though the special ending was because of crossing all the game. I was shiva and plaid solo.

If I want to go mania for a fast&furious play I go shiva and an aggressive Mr.X partner with players damage off, so we do great combos together. The drawback is that an aggressive partner ruin my bosses repetitive moves and we die a lot .
When I want to play for serious I go shiva with balanced rudra.
When I want to play for score I do solo.

I'd like to ask an extra question: what is your highscores? My best one was mania solo no cheats and didn't die any credit. Btw are scores cumulative when dying credits?
Also I think the highscores should tell if the player used cheats or not.

I'd prefer that the high scores done with cheats (except maybe some cosmetic ones and the 2x boss one) didn't show up on the leaderboard at all

How did you manage to beat it on maina with no credit loss is beyond me, awesome. I don't think i will ever be able to do that. Posting a youtube video of that would be cool.

Uploaded a video of my first successful playthrough. Shiva + Rudra.

Amazing job! Though I would advise you to not show the ending. I know people have the choice to see it themselves, but... Others might not know of the special ending. And I don't want it to be given away.

Guys please help me out. I'm about to kill the twins before Mr. X but is it possible to beat Mr. X on mania with only 3 lives left? I entered Stage 8 without using any continues and by the end (the twins) I've used 2 continues so far, so I have 3 lives left for Mr. X

Mr. X + drones with 3 lives, mania difficulty, and solo (no partner) = It's impossible right? I wanted at least one further continue for this guy

I finally accomplished this feat today, and it was my next to last ending.

Beat it with Adam solo. I had beat it with Adam and Shiva, but wanted the challenge of beating it alone. I used both of my continues and defeated the final boss with 1 life remaining half my health gone.

I took the SOR1 route because if I was certain to fail I was going to enter ina second player and get that ending, luckily I pulled it off!

Beat it following the SOR2 route with a "balanced" CPU partner using all continues.

Me: Mr. X -> Max -> Shiva
CPU: Shiva -> Roo -> Roo

Don't know why the CPU kept picking Roo.

Gosh,i just finished it on Mania,it was the only end i needed to open...of course i played as Electra as usual.
My CPU partner was Rudra,then the other continues was SOR1 Axel,he died while we where fighting against Mr.X.Oh my God,that was so excitind and hard.lol
I only lost one continue,i was about to lose the other one.lol!!
But yay i did it! Electrified him and finished it!

I think I'll do. What route should I take?
I think I'll go with plain sor2 route, not the one I use to go but I don't want it to take too long (at least I'll avoid bike/jet-ski levels)

I beat it with Max (no partner) in my first try, but had to continue 2 times . Abadede is even more cheap... fortunately I followed SOR1 route and thus encountered no Jet.
