Just did it a short while ago. I took the easier way through it using:

Rudra with Shiva and then Ash as a CPU partner. The special ending was well worth it.

I think the easiest way is to take the route that ends at the

White House with you fighting Shiva at the very end.

Next up will be to try and beat it using only one player.

SoR1 Ash and Mr. X (I was close to solo-ing it with Ash, but a Galsia knifed me >.>)

Solo SoR2 path with Adam. Finished with 2 star special

Solo with Max, no cheats.

CPU partner died before the elevator made it to Mr. X. Lost one credit

Third times the charm.. or in my case, sixth or seventh. Add my name to this damn list. Bleeding Knife route. Started as Rudra and Shiva/Roo for my CPU partner.

At least until I got into the helicarrier, and Shiva kept getting sucked out... and for the rest of the game, the CPU chose ROO.

TWICE.

Don't get me wrong. Roo's fun! But a potent ally does not he make. He did get me almost as far as the elevator to

before getting clobbered by some fat bastard and dropping out for the rest of the game.... but for my other partners they at least got INTO the elevator before dying.

Even with the loss of my ally, I kicked the Christ out of

RX and his cronies

and ran out of there like a bat out of hell.... stopping of course to remove certain time restraints.

By the time I got to

Shiva

I took him to town. Even in hardest difficulty, he goes down like a bitch.

I don't know why computer auto picks roo most of the time, but i notice that too, either him of skate.

Only tried Mania one time, on SoR1 route. Got beat by the twins before Mr. X =(

Took the SoR2 route as...gosh, I can't remember who I was. Probably Shiva or SoR1 Axel. Had Max as a partner. He died while we were facing Shiva, who in turn wiped out one of my continues. >_<

Had to take down Mr. X on my own, but the ending was so worth it. Ready for a second run soon.

just to start, brilliant game and definately worth the wait, shame there are some bugs but generally playthrough has been pretty faultless and nowhere near as buggy as v4 but all in all great job guys,hopefully you guys have some shinobi/golden axe remakes in the pipeline after a well deserved break?

Went from easy to mania and finished it with rudra and max/blaze/skate/none (at the last battle with shiva then mr x).

Didn't get any other ending than usual? What did i do wrong (all cheats are off, lives to 5).

I've beaten Mania only with Mr X. and an endless gauge

But i hope to get better results when I'll get some of my friends to play with me
