Went to see The Dark Knight Rises on Saturday night and I must say I adored it. It was on such an epic scale but used it's running time to flesh out the characters so well. It is a fitting end to my favourite movie trilogy and brings closure to the story that Nolan wanted to tell.

Bane was a truly terrifying villain and I was genuinely shocked at his level of violence and brutality. It was disgusting in parts (you will know the scene when you see it). He brought something different that no other villain in the trilogy brought. The physicality and threat that he could beat Batman by brute force.

Selina Kyle was done justice for once in a Batman movie. Hathaway did a great job and the writing was the most similar to Catwoman from the comics that I have seen.

The movie was touching in parts too, there were moments where it was genuinely moving and upsetting, others where the audience gets that hero fuck yeah! feeling, and others where it is pretty much full on nerdgasm if you are a fan of the comics.

At the end of the film, I had more of a feeling of complete relief more than anything. Nolan has made my Batman movie trilogy. The one I always wanted. Go see it now. I will be again this Friday!

Finally saw TDKR and IMO this is the best in the current trilogy.

Yeah Joker is the most iconic Batman villain ever, but the story here trumped that of the previous movies. I won't give out any spoilers, but I was loving all the plot twists and foreshadowing used in this movie. Once this comes to DVD I'll be rewatching the Nolan trilogy just so I can get a better understanding of this Bat-universe. I went in on general Batman knowledge, and faint memories of the last 2 movies, but I still enjoyed it a ton, so I definitely recommend it to any Bat-fans regardless of knowledge.

The Expendables 2 was everything I wanted from the first one. Awesome action scenes with my favorite 80s stars, cheesy lines, etc. People need to see this one now. There are a couple little things that bothered me a bit, but the only main issue I had with it (and most of Stallone's movies) is that it was too short. I wanted some more killing.

Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarznegger were awesome in this, Jean Claude Van Damme was also great.

...And Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Nicolas Cage, and Wesley Snipes (when he gets out of jail) are being approached for the third movie.

I really can't wait to see that movie now^^

I also heard that rumor about the third a few week back. Sounds great.
The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better." I can't understand why it won't work on my Linux computer.

Yeah see it when you can, it really is much better than the first movie. I hope the third will be even better. They need to get Seagal, Chan, Russel, and all the other guys mentioned already.

Oh yeah some of those would be good.

Although one of the problems i found with the first was that yeah, It's all well and good getting these old action heroes together in one film, but damn, please make it so they're all worth something. When the cameos feel as forced as Brucie's was, It comes off as a bad type of cheesy IMO. Arnie's wasn't too bad though...he's one of the main reasons why I'm dying to see the second.

Also Van-damme.

Avengers deleted scene

Spoiler: show
Extended Captain America intro

Metal Gear Solid movie announced

I....really don't know how to feel about this. I guess it's good news that Avi Arad is producing it (produced Spider-Man and Iron Man). But yeah, I don't think this will translate well to the big screen.
