Oh actually, saying that, if you actually keep an eye on your scoors, at times, especially, with weapons, you dont get any points at all for hitting or killing some people.

yeah that stage has some score problems

Bug sprite position

Postby YuGiOhJCJ » Wed Jul 04, 2007 11:09 am

Hello,
I don't know if this bug is already submitted, sorry (not time to read 64 pages on this forum!).
There is a bug of the position for one sprite :

We can't kill him because he is in the wall...I need to exit the game...

OK ;)

translation : I see that in your personal site, you haven't put your SoRR level in video games' level section.

I never noticed it before but in the end of the stage 2, when the flying boss appears, his hair are blonde but when we fight him, his hair are purple.

Isn't that just his colour pallette changing?

That's right! It's just a colour palette problem. I know, it's not very disturbing!

Hi, I'm new here! I read the FAQ, and although it did say not to post bug reports yet, I just want to make sure the one's I've found are fixed. Apologies if they've been found already.

The first time I played, the game froze after I killed the boxer boss on the SOR2 boat. I was Zan, and I killed him using a sword.

The second time I played, I tried backward-throwing a Tiger (muscly guy with no shirt and orange spikey hair) off of the SOR1 lift. Although Zan did the throwing animation, Tiger froze in the holding position. I couldn't kill him, so had to start again.

The third time I played, the game froze when I killed the bald, purple jet-pack boss. I was Zan, and I used a sword again, so I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the fact I had that weapon.

I've been reading the forums, and stories of some people that have all the extras etc, but so far because of these bugs I've been unable to complete the game. :( Am I just unlucky? I can't wait for the next release.

All of that aside, I'm really enjoying the game. I can see alot of work has gone into it - I just wish I could get further into the game to see more, lol.

AUGH!

I'm at the stage with the robots (Stage 7, I think) and I just beat the boss (the green robot, called robot y or something).

After beating him, the game just completely froze. I can still hear music, and the character is still doing his little fighting pose dance thing. I installed the game crashes patch and everything.

I'm so pissed.

I was playing as Adam, by the way. I used normal attacks to kill him.

Looks like a timing problem more than a crash, since from what you are telling the game did not freeze but looks like it failed to show the STAGE 7 CLEAR sign and go on, right?
If that's what happened, it's not a crash but a very unfortunate and unlikely bug. Better luck on next games!

Please disregard previous error. Forgot to download the fixes, silly me.

Edit: Actually don't. Even with the fixes I'm still having the problems...

Hello everyone,

This is Frédéric, from France, near Paris, but born in Lille and proud of it (but who cares ? )

I've always been a great fan of the Streets of Rage saga since the first number in 1991, a long time ago when I was 25.

Last year I discovered Beats of Rage (and all its "by-products") for my beloved Dreamcast. I was very surprised (and happy of course !) to see that the saga was still so appreciated after all those years...

And yesterday, by reading a webmag named "Player Two", I found you !

My God, SoRR is such a wonderful tribute ! The menus, the musics, the graphics, the gameplay, it has it all !! The best part of it, in my opinion, is the perfect combination between the game speed and the controls. Because though the game is much faster than the originals, controlling your character remains so easy ! It's not far from perfection...

So a great "bravo" to all the Bombergames Team ! By the way I was very disappointed to read so many critisizing and unconstructive posts, mostly for very tiny details...
Bug reports YES, critisizing just for "fun", NO !

I know I'm a newbie here, but it had to be said...

Talking about bug report, I was going to forget why I'm posting in this particular topic !

I've searched to find if someone had encountered the same bug as mine, but I failed. So here it is : when you select "Remake" in "Death Type" option, the dying animation performs indefinitely, making the game unplayable ! The only solution is to exit the game and start another one. :(

I don't know if you've heard about this bug, and fixed it for version 5. But if not, here's what I found after a little investigation : first of all, if you select "SOR" in "Death Type", everything's OK.
But the more interesting is here : when you replace the Sorr.dat of the latest version of the game (filedate : 04/07/2007) with the one in the "SoRv401a" zip (filedate : 05/01/2007), the bug just disappears !

And it's easy to differenciate the two files : at the very first screen ("Bombergames"), the bugged-one has the following text : "THIS GAME IS FREEWARE, IF YOU BOUGHT IT YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF".

Here it is, I've finished ! I hope my message will be helpful to the team, and if not, please don't shoot me ! And remember : I've tried my best to write in good english, but you know, those Frenchies and foreign languages...

Welcome man

Yes you are right, the copyrighted version has been uploaded since i noticed people selling the game, so i tried to find in my files the last version showed but maybe is a bit different.

So a great "bravo" to all the Bombergames Team ! By the way I was very disappointed to read so many critisizing and unconstructive posts, mostly for very tiny details...

I agree, this is the price of make a game based on a famous saga, many people don't care about nothing.
