Valkyrie_Ace, if you do really believe that an atheist can't be a good person, I really pity you. Last time I checked morality and ethics were not exclusive of religions.
On the other hand, if this thread degenerates into an atheism vs. beliefs flamewar it will be closed hastily.

im sure if there was an off-topic forum on this board and we had mature, educated people to talk about it, we could have religious, political, and soccer-related debates.

seriously though, i don't beleive in god, therefore i don't beleive in satan.

I beleive in being nice to people, unless they are arseholes to me.

(as a side note, taking the piss is completely different to being nasty)

Since you don't believe in God, your belief in being nice to people is meaningless as all morality is relative and it would be equally valid for you to be as heinous as possible to everyone.

and if youre serious, i agree with kaleth, except this is how i put it: you have a seriously twisted perception of reality.

Discussions about religions and politics have no place in a forum like this,
but let me explain first, you see a long time ago i used to visit a good forum
full of people who knew each other and respected each other..

then one day a retarded guy came there and he kept discussing politics,
and in no time (just like we are seeing in this thread) people started having
a reason to dislike one another..

that forum is now dead, because there were no more people
who wanted to discuss the latest movies/music/tv/games/etc
but only people who wanted to discuss whether or not the current
president was doing a good job and if the war with Iraq was a good choice..

from 20 new topics a day to nothing.. all because some people can't
be bothered to join a political/religious forum when they suddenly
feel like sharing their views of the world.

And when there's talk about politics and religion it never stays mature,
hell, how can it stay mature when "real" politicians can't even debate in a mature way.

There's a reason why they say that politics is a dirty business, and the same goes for religion,
you're either born into one or you're not.. and 95% of the people will never change their views about the other.
so whats the use of discussing it?
nobody is gonna change their ways just because a person on the internet wrote a lengthy post about his or her views on the matter.

In nomine pater, et filii and fuck off Dubyah!

And enough of politics, soccer and religion. Those things are just impossible to touch, just as VampX said.

I wasn't aware that I was espousing any particular religion, what I stated you can learn in any basic philosophy course. And I never said that an atheist can't be a good person, I merely stated that it their world view, there is no objective value in it, only a subjective one. If they were choose to be evil instead, it would be equally valid as each human mind defines its own moral code. Did Hitler, Stalin, and Mao exhibit the same moral code as Christ, Mohammed, and Buddha? Decidedly not. But now I've said my piece and it needn't be discussed further. [/end philosophy lesson]

I replied to agree with you that it needn't be discussed further, you are correct that this is not the proper forum for abstract philosophical debate. My apologies for raising the issue in an inappropriate venue.

Is there anyway to find out how many points we have? like through the ranking meanu or options? Ive completed the game about 5 times now on hard, and MR.X still isnt open. i always make sure i get ending 3, and those 5 times on hard are after i opened Shiva. So does that mean i need to get 11 points AFTER openeing shiva, or does the points i got before openeing shiva count aswell?
