I'm wondering how you can make a background stay in view as the screen scrolls, like in this video.

Set the background layer to "No Move" from the scrolling options. First icon in the top left of the panel.

Does using pure black (0.0.0 RGB) is a good or a bad thing to remove artefacts that appears from scaling?
I apologize if this has been already answered.

Having pure black in any of your backgrounds is ALWAYS a bad thing.

Weel, that depends, though. If you need a special effect that the BLURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR can do, it's cool to use it... for example, the twilight zone inside the drug trip in HUNTER (Vegas path).

Hey guys

I have a question. I've forgotten how to add a single image to a cutscene (so that it isn't just a black screen with text) I'd also like to know the pixel dimensions needed to make it fit nicely. Thanks.

O.K. I've gained the courage to work on another mod, but how do you add endings?

If last Stage is Stage 8: Jump Stage to any stage with an empty scene 1.
Put cutscene for that scene as ending. Do not make an actual scene to follow it... that way it'll go back to the title screen after it's done.

If last Stage is Stage 7 or earlier: Put cutscene of scene 1 of next stage as your ending in the same way.

Also, a Still Image Ending works after a Stage 8 boss... just make credits.png at 320x240 size.

There are other ways, but the more advanced stuff should come to you on its own.

You could take other methods such as interactive epilogues (playable scenes), gag reel with a 240/250 layer in auto scroll with caps about your ending, etc.

Check some mods with endings like Adam's Story, my chapters in HUNTER, Way of the Warrior, Path of Shinobi, etc.

'm building my own route and sormaker already working with FPG editor, cutsceneMAKER beyond the engine .... but usually sormaker

  When I try to create an animated layer can not let the black part transparent rgb 000. the animation works but gets the "background" black! transparent does not work! I'm doing something wrong, what can be? this occurs with some layers and not others, especially with animated ..... who can help me suggesting something will be grateful!

...if it's not transparent it's not 000black.
Whatever you're using has corrupted the colours perhaps.

thank you ... I am using image files. png ......... . bmp would be better? I think the solution is to use an image editor better than imageSandEditor. Thank you again!
