Wait, so the collision map I added to Stage2a (to prevent the stuckattoppixel glitch during biker section) is the reason why the Kangaroos stopped dropping prizes? Not because I kept inadvertently grabbing it just as the clown died?

Well, it kinda makes sense when in V5, Roo and Bruce appeared in stages that seemingly didn't need collision maps.

Yeah...and it would kinda look weird if Roo walked off over a pit or through a wall. I'll bet that's why.
The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better." I can't understand why it won't work on my Linux computer.

Well, there is a bug where if you fight a Danch in the first rounds, and you placed other Victies, the Victies more likely will appear and immediately give you the gold and the choker and vamoose. In Vegas i used that as part of the "FUCK IT, IT'S VEGAS, IT'S WINNING TIME!" :D

Also, there's something funny using this property: if you know a Victi will show up and leave as soon he appears (say by jumping in or by shadow intro), by ONE frame before he leaves you still can grab him and throw/slam/punch him, but he'll not retaliate and still will grant you the gold bars and the choker (that's if you didn't kill him, of course, you kill him you get nothing or the choker). I gave one of those an Atomic Drop with Max and stood up and left leaving the prizes, lol. :P

What it did happens sometimes, though, is that if you put a Danch and Victi in the same round and you happen to beat the Danch, *sometimes* the Victi will continue fighting you even if you freed him. I dunno the conditions for that, though. It happened to me twice in my own mod inside the massage parlor and in Vegas where I placed them together, but most of the time if you beat Danch, they usually leave as normal.

Argh...another road block for me.
I tried practicing stage building using a custom map I made.
However, i cant seem to be able to pause the enemy attacks.

Let me be specific now.
I set up a path with enemies with some breaks, Such are 4 enemies per round and max enemies 4.
But all the enemies i set up just walk into the screen WAY before my character even reaches them.
The biggest problem is that when i place a camera pause, I can never move past it unless i use a police call. How do I limit the amount of enemies that are 'on screen'?

Also: I've tried changing the 'rounds', but that doesn't work...

Actually, it is set. I read your tutorial before. I've taken a look at the testing stats of other completed mods. It appears that my game is reading ALL enemies I've put on at once rather than the enemies in the character's area.

There's a very interesting bug I've got myself by putting the traffic event in certain areas (reference H.U.N.T.E.R. demo stage 2-1). I placed a car event right before a camera lock and it won't appear until you finish all the enemies. As soon you finish all the enemies before the camera lock, the camera unlocks and the event triggers after it BUT... all the enemies that comes afterwards will appear in a single wave which means that no matter if they are in round 2 or 3 or 99 (lol, okay 8), all they will show up one after another, so keep in mind that when you use the traffic event.

Regarding Ownintim's problem...

I think what's happening is the basic mistake of not knowing that you need to push the left/right arrows on your keyboard and make the little Axel move around, so you can place enemies for each 'screen position' (the big 320x240 green box around Axel).

Happens to most people during their first mod.

@ Don

Maybe it's a bug in itself that you need a lock to have the cars trigger? When you look at it, the cars are not really any different from the barrels, and for them not to trigger on an open scene i would say could be a bug.

I have a chase scene in ATM and could have really done with the cars.

Vehilits, once activated, will take up 2 enemy slots.
The neck counts as an extra enemy.

Keep this in mind with your 'max enemies on screen'.

In order to have backgrounds visible, what color must the empty space on the main layer be?
I've done both black and white, but neither fpg or sormaker seem to read it.

0,0,0 Black is the transparency colour.

You know, usually people have problems getting rid of this colour... not making it work in the first place. :lol:

Pure blackness: 0 0 0. One single digit beyond that and it will turn black.
